Three-Dimensional Lattice Boltzmann Model for Acoustic Waves Emitted by a Source

This paper implements the lattice Boltzmann method to simulate propagation of sound waves in three dimensions. The numerical model is exercised on lid-driven cavity flow. Tests are then proposed acoustic situations. results first confronted with analytical solutions spherical emitted by a single point source inside cubic cavity. Then, we studied case where from circular placed at center left boundary parallelepipedic filled water. With discretized as set sources, were able wave 3D and calculate pressure amplitude. using different emission conditions LBM relaxation times finally allowed us get good comparisons expressions amplitude along axis, highlighting performance simulations acoustics.
